Myself I think that uber techs is the thing that has totally screwed up allegiance and makes for the miserable games. Basic guns kill, that's the thing at least in life. Hell you hit an airframe with enought 9mm and it will make it unflyable. Although the basic gun round has grown larger through time. But in allegiance, basic gatt and 15 minutes and you can kill a regular GT interceptor on dn 4.6 (ok I'm exaggerating but it takes way too long). Ok so you increase the lethality of the weps by upgrading them, but with the hull enhancements ad etc... the lethatlity of basic weps is being negated.

No problem I'm sure some will say.... Of course if you stack and play the cheeze it's not a problem for you, but the other people may not want to play your target because your ass has uber tech. I think upgrading the basic weps would help, but I'm not sure at this point. I'm pecking on way too much equipment now days for way too long and not getting the desired effects.

While I'm at it, the damned cons don't need to be unstoppable, some seem to line up way too fast and will go in no matter how hard you ram them. Anybody besides me think all or any of this is a problem?

If you don't like DN, don't play DN...

Actually there are enough people playing most nights now that there could be at least 2 games running at a time. Get people to shift off DN and others will follow.

Well I know that would be a soloution, but I like some of the changes in dn. Yeah one soloution would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but there could be alternatives there.

Make your own core and let the majority decide?

Good luck shotgun. DN only changes according to flawed "statistics" and you won't be able to use any of the changes in DN in your own core. So either make the switch or don't are the only options I see.

The relationship between gatt power and a GT interceptor's hull is the same in almost any core, dunno what EoR has done but if they haven't changed it from what it originally was it's the same as dn. The only difference is that dn's gatt is more accurate than other cores.

As for the conns lining up too fast, that's also pretty much the same in every other core (cores without technoflux being the exception, but every other faction is the same).

I do agree that the superships are annoying and a detriment to the game however.

GoDII has no GT, EoR used A+ not DN, iirc. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I know, I said it incorrectly, I meant they both have the standard 1.25 roots. A+, RPS, WARP, and GOD are the same as DN in this case as well.

I don't think anyone has altered the damage that gatts put out from 1.25, though I don't know exactly what happens in every core, may have missed a release note somewhere.

Interesting, makes me think what if the current spate of newbies not learning the game to the "desired" level isn't because we suck as teachers. But because they don't learn it to that level because they've got cheese tech that doesn't take as much skill/teamwork to use?
