GS, Gun Ship, or God Ship?
Gunships are best used in the Bios TAC/YARD way. Don't even give out bombers! Just get Gunships, TAC and a SY. i did bios exp + GS + SY once
we had longtom GS with range + pw dmg 2 XD . but dam team didn't D my exp which was my main adv tech, it was easy to d, just no one did (their run was eyed for ages, i called it, we had a tele there /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roll:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> ) and i hadent got us any SY tech other than longtom + ship speed because i only had the sy for that (i was exp remember + the long tom GS)

due to noone defending the exp from the htt run i explained about. we had that game had we kept our base killing tech (bios hvy cloak 2 + sig 2htt s)
we were set, adv exp, hvy ints, enemy exp so on mini 3, but we had longtom GS with GAs. we had the SY for later if htting didn't work out... but then we lost the exp and then it all went to hell (partly because we couldn't D vs an htt that was eyed for 2 minutes and was called by the comm for D)

i dont find it hard to kill a gunship usually. quickfires make most gunships a beacon symbol of invulnerability, but it really doesnt do much. youd think the hail is undodgeable and its then end of you, but 1 countermeasure will divert all of them. the only really
tankstatus gs is the pheonix with it excellent shields and boosters but really its not all that awesome. as for the gunners, most will be noobs or vets fresh out of the box because thats how they like to gain elo. i know i do, but a little thrusting goes a long way these guys wont hit you as well. i usually boost in with an int and use sidethrusters. u wont get hit nearly as often and if u stay on the gs vulnerable areas[I.E. everything but the front] they cant fire missles. main cannons( which are devestating on rix gs) all you have to negotiate with is the turret gunners and most of the time pilots only launch with 1 gunner. so really this thread kinda of pointless. stop bitching about it and find a way to deal with it. this kinda of thread i wouldve expected when microsoft released source code but not now. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roll:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Hmm.. let me see.. QF3 BIOS GS vs Heavy interceptors.. those QFs do fair damage, the ONE gunner I will usually carry will be firing away at the int and 1 or maybe 2 will die before the cloak gives out.. BUT IT IS A PRIMARILY DEFENSIVE SHIP, I usually have them to defend BIOS while I work on real tech..
