without the crappy comms, you'll have people like you, horrible comms. at least they are willing to step up to the plate and comm, instead of bitching and moaning about how they should comm and have the respect of the community even though all they have done is insult the community, think they are better then the community, and simply stated that they'll violate the ROC/TOS/etc.

and also, here is a life lesson - you don't automatically get respect, you earn it. i would like to see you in real life walk up to any new group, say worship me, and see what they do to you because this is simply what you are telling this community. so get off your high horse and shut up already

I once exited in a reg scout when our team went rix and was banned right about the time I exited the red door.

Comm didnt know I was just probing our home alephs because it was a large sector, didnt need a rip scout.

But oh well, you live and learn. I think you'll find most comms are pretty easy going...they can get on edge in tough games but who wouldnt?

Large --

It's very, very, easy to ruin your reputation for months to come in only a day or two by continuing to say things like you just did with that "deliberately ruin their game" comment.

You will never earn respect by behaving like the few bottomfeeders who disrespect everyone. People will consider you the same sort of bottomfeeder.

Most of the respectable people here initially treat everyone with either indifference or a quiet desire to help you out when there's time. Just because you're seeing a lot of rudeness doesn't mean that's the only type of person that's out there. Far from it, in fact.

Lay low, stay quiet, learn as much as you can, and treat everyone with respect....and while you're at it, have a discussion with MaliciousWrath/BladeOfGod about how difficult it is to ditch a bad reputation once you've gotten one.

heh checkmate, was that me? /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Large, you know why I boot as a commander? Because you don't listen. I was playing Rix yesterday. First game I booted people in the first 5minutes for not being in ripscouts, after spamming it, giving them time to go back, individually PM'ing everyone and the like. I still had to boot 3 people. Next game, I said it once, and everyone did it. Why? Because they knew I was serious. See? Simple.

And why would you need to probe the home alephs early in the game?

Large wrote:QUOTE (Large @ May 20 2007, 11:17 PM) I simply give the respect I get here. The comms I speak of are the ones who boot needlessly and w/o explaination. I make it a point to never fly for them... and yes, I fly under other names. If I make your "do not allow on team list" for demanding respect.. oh well.
and you just lost any and all respect you may ever gain here. Deliberately going to ruin the game for your comm is bannable. Not just boot out of that game, but banned from playing for a long time. and if you are going to be playing like that, Uninstall Alleg now and never show up again. Seriously.

I boot because I think you can learn. Theres a reason we cant boot noobies, they dont KNOW better. Once your a vet, your going to learn to play this damn game, or theres someone in lobby who can do a better job on my team.

How hard do we have to get the point across, IF YOUR NOT GOING TO LEARN, DONT FLY FOR US, OR EXPECT TO GET BOOTED FOR BEING AN IDIOT!!!

and large, change your name, change your forum account, and try to pretend this never happened. LEARN SOMETHING AND TRY AGAIN.

well I'm glad to see everyone waving the TOC flag so much. I wrote what I did when I was upset and I certainly choose my words poorly. I recognize that Large is in a deep hole he will not come out of. I'm glad I do have many names because I still fly right next to you guys every day. I would not ever break any rules in this game. I started playing because it seemed that cheating would not be a prevalent in this game as it is in so many others. By ruining someone's game i meant flying well against them and hopefuly giving them a frustraiting lose.
I have to point out that in six months I have only put two comms on my list of people not to fly for. Several of you spoke like I was talking about every com in the game. false. Since someone used BOG as an example I must point out the while I have no problem with him personally, he exemplifies the kind of com who could be on the list.. I watched as this community harrassed him and drove him undergound. I'd say you guys did a very good job of "ruining his game". Anyone understand yet? pots? kettles?
