So that's why there were over 100 peeps on at 8 pm last night. (est) cool
20 Things Worth Knowing About Beer.....I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they get up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

My Sidewinder Pro I bought back in the 1999 beta specifically for Allegiance. Been sitting in a box since 2000. I pulled it out the other day and it still runs like a champ.Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ May 7 2007, 08:46 PM) MS Sidewinder Pro is the best joystick ever - and many MANY people agree.
I use it religiously, and the moment it died I quickly bought a replacement on ebay.
Allegiance can be mastered with a joystick OR a mouse; there are top veterans in our community who use both input devices. Both agree on one point though: stick with one interface once you have it set up and master it.

My only problem is that I have my desktop on a student desk and there is absolutely no room for the thing. I love the joystick but the thing is a freaken beast.
One thing I'd like to say I miss from the old days ... I haven't seen any multi team games yet. Back on the Zone I really enjoyed the massive 20 vs 20 vs 20 vs 20 games that would take place on absolutely insanely huge maps. The alliances and backstabbings that took place were the stuff legends are made of.
I was on again tonight ... from what I can see alot of my fellow PA'ers have been popping in and out over the last few days. Sadly our plan to coordinate didn't work out, but alot of us have been trying it out anyways and the comments have been positive from what I can see. When I popped in tonight for a few hours I saw at least 4 or 5 guys from the forums and I'm guessing there have been more throughout the past few days. Probaly alot of lurkers too.
Anyways I just wanted to say thanks to whoever it is that's kept this game running over the years. Allegiance was a personal favorite of mine, the beta really was epic. I still think the game could have been so much more (back then) if MS had not have opted with the pay to play scheme.
Moot point now that this awesome community has opened the doors for everyone. Bravo I say ... I wish there were more games and communities like this one.

Help us promote the game and we may soon see those large of games again! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

if our current 10v10v10v10 games are anything like it, sounds terrible. although exploiting it for ELO gain was quite fun, all you had to do was be the commander of some incredibly crappy team and make sure you and your ally loses. Your opponent teams will draw it (since they are allied) and in turn you would gain 32 ELO while they lost tons of ELO.
