I have the following problem:
Alleg by itself works perfectly.
TS by itself works perfectly.
Both show no problems with any other program.
As long as TS is silent, everything is all right.
But when someone speaks, most of the time Alleg freezes for a second or two and the TS voice is blurred and stretched out. The more speech, the worse things get.
I have tried about all combinations of sound settings in Alleg and TS, no change.
I have tried the kx Drivers, but they simply crash my whole machine.
Has anybody encountered this problem? Any ideas what to do?
TS sound problems
What soundcard do you have?
I'd make sure you have the proper drivers for your soundcard, and also make sure you have the right drivers for any components on your motherboard (chipset drivers?)
I'd also try changing the ingame sound settings. Turn hardware acceleration on/off. Does that help? What about sound quality settings?
If things are still wonky, I'd also doublecheck that directx is running fine. Try dxdiag.

I run a SoundBlaster Live. I do have the latest drivers. There is no other game or application having any troubles with the sound. DirectX is happy as can be. I have fiddled with all combinations of the settings, both in game and in TS. Nothing improves the problem.Tigereye wrote:QUOTE (Tigereye @ Jul 31 2006, 04:31 PM) I'd make sure you have the proper drivers for your soundcard, and also make sure you have the right drivers for any components on your motherboard (chipset drivers?)
