I too will be in the @cadet class staring on 06/30 - look forward to having you as a classmate.

I've not ventured onto the main server yet. Perhaps I will this weekend. I have been frustrated with some of the games on the Nebie server. Guys wanting to turn a "Conquest" game into "death ...

Read the Crash Course and even use the link to download the PDF version (I forget if it's on the crash course page, or on the acadamy downloads page).

Both have helped me learn the game. Having the PDF makes for a good refresher, and even a quick reference on how to do things.

OK - the REAL Newbie here has one big question - WHere the Heck is the Newbie server? Whatn I try to join a game, all I see are game for ANY skill level.

I really want to get some flight time under my belt, but I don't want to trash a good game for you Vets while I shale the bugs out of my gameplay ...

I found a fix that worked for me - I turned off Force Feedback. MY joystick does not use it and it was about the only thing I had not tried yet!

The only game like this I've ever enjoyed flying a ship with a mouse was FREELANCER!!

As much as I LOVE my Cybrg, what Joystick are you guys using? I might plop out $15-$50 for a second stick to give this game a good try.
