Mercenary, or more commonly Merc, is a term which technically refers to any unsquadded player, but generally people don't mean to include newbs when they speak of Mercenaries.
Mercenaries can be either players that chosen not to join any squad for various personal reasons, players who have quit their last squad and looking for a new home or players whose old squad dissolved on them.
