Allegiance antimatter project started in early 2002. The idea was to improve Allegiance and add new factions:
- Shin Cha
- Effix
- Sons of Lecef
Statement by a developer
Allegiance: Antimatter will be an expansion.. but right now is planned to be able to run without allegiance, so its not really an add-on. Some good ideas in there, some we have gone over already. We are trying to mix it up really well, but we will do minimal messing around with the current factions. Of course, the new factions could change the way you have to fight against them which will change the way you play even with current, unchanged factions. We may add some new ships (once we finish all the new factions' ships). We are also trying to add in new special ships, but we have to be sure they will be used, and not be cheesy. (IE Gunships, and Patrollers... Rix GS Cheese) Each faction will most likely have its own unique new classes of ships, as well as all the old ones(ie, Fighter, Bomber, etc). -Orion
