System requirements

Allegiance has very low requirements generally (non-powerful computer, windows, and an internet connection), although due to improvements made by the development team they are slightly higher than the original specs from the 2000 release.

Current system requirements for FreeAllegiance

• Multimedia PC with a Pentium 200 MHz or higher, 3D card recommended.
• Microsoft Windows XP (SP2 or higher) or Windows Vista
  • Windows 7 works, but is not fully supported yet, read helpline
  • Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE and Windows ME are no longer supported
  • Windows 2000 with SP4 will run Allegiance, but you're unable to play online
• 32MB of RAM required, 64 MB recommended.
• DirectX 9.0c August 2009 Runtimes or later, English DirectX 9 webinstaller (this is also needed on Windows Vista and Windows 7)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, English .Net 2.0 Download Page
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package, english download for 32 bit system and 64 bit systems
• At least 450 MB hard drive space.
• SVGA (800 x 600) monitor.
• SVGA (800 x 600) video card supporting 16-bit color.
• Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.
  • Flying by just the keyboard alone is not recommended
• At least 28.8 KBps modem, 56 KBps recommended.

• Joystick or trackball (Many players simply use a mouse)
• Medium-end video card
• Broadband Internet connection
• Microphone (to use in conjunction with TeamSpeak)
