Within a month GPZ will go down. I canceled it a week ago.
Reasons:
Old hardwareOutrunning OS support (Windows 2003 Server)Untrustworthy carriersRunning costs (specially after Zapper and Grimmwolf no longer share costs)
I expect Worldstream.nl will take down the server on January 12th.

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
wow, well i cant say i always enjoyed playing on it because of being across the world, but i totally respect the guys commitment and responsiveness who ran it

I often bitched about the packet loss and lag, but I do appreciate the contribution to the community that the server made. A lot of euros probably would not have bothered if not for that server. Thanks PKK and co!
But in all honesty it was a great server, I'm one of the lucky few who get good pings in all 3 servers, in GPZ only a ping of 130, and everywhere else like 60 with no packet loss.
