3v3s are common, but I wouldn't say its usually that bad. Sometimes when people start a small game, people come out of the woodwork to play.
My advice to everyone is that if you want to see decent games, log in and noat until you see a 2v2 or 4v4 depending on your preference and then jump in. It doesn't hurt anyone to have people sitting in noat. Also, try to play around SGT on Saturdays and Sundays so that we can maintain our ability to play large games.

I do agree that idling is the best option.
If you log in see a small game, for sure if you don't join right away, then afk and check back every 30-60 minutes, it will make a huge difference in game size.

I haven't played since last year, but that's because I've gone to college, published a book, and gotten a girlfriend in that time (and in that order). I doubt anyone here even remembers me
I still want to play though, even if I'm terrible!
