The only way that I can see to make a multilingual game, is to have the recordings for the VCs verbally translated, and recorded. then making them available as replacement sound files to the currently used ones.

The other problem with going multi-lingual is choosing which languages to integrate.
I demand... a breton translation!! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
And unless I'm mistaken, it's Microsoft Games who created Allegiance, the same who made the Close Combat series. /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

grimm is right though.
though whether we would get more say Japanese players if they could chat in their own fancy unicode symbols...
so maybe changing chat to unicode to allow for more people to talk in their own language.
obviously we may end up with chinese speaking servers and english speaking servers... it wouldn't matter too much could do teams based on language "english speaking team" "japanese speaking team" "russian speaking team" etc

A throurough translation would require changing the ASGS source. Sic stantibus rebus, this won't happen.
