If you've read the previous sections then you've managed to join a game, get on a team, and you know how a team wins. Question is: what the hell are you, personally, supposed to do NOW?

Allegiance is a fast-paced game, with both teams desperately trying to gain the upper hand on the other. Battle plans change on the fly, your objectives are a hundred-fold and ever-changing, and in any given minute you might be expected to be in 5 different places at once. Knowing what you're supposed to do now is a skill that comes with experience. For now we'll just go over your basic options:

1. 1. Follow orders - As a new player you will be issued orders and commands constantly. This lesson goes over who you should obey, and who you can safely ignore.
   2. Defend something - You can either defend from an enemy attack, or defend a friendly player while he attacks an enemy.
   3. Attack something - Attacking a veteran one-to-one is probably a bad idea, but joining your teammates in a surge attack will work out well.
   4. Explore somewhere - Or you could grab a scout and explore an enemy sector. Your teammates will always appreciate more info about enemy movements.
