New cadet school launching soon

With the help of a large group of veterans, we're going to launch a new cadet school.

It will use the free allegiance forums and have material very similar to the schools past. The difference this time will be that the entire community will be involved.

The community is at a size now with enough people with good sense to be able to understand that we need to retain new players. That means that we need to teach them why Allegiance is so great. That means that we need to talk to these players and then allow ourselves to be podded by them.

You read that right, you must talk to the new players and be podded by them. You can tell them that you are doing this. The point is that they shoot at something and then see it explode. Far too many new players join, have no idea what they are doing, and when they try to fly around they get vaporized every time. Allegiance is very difficult game to learn when you just start. We need you vet players to understand this and yield when we have influxes of new players.

We may have failed at launching a cadet when Allegiance first made it to steam, so let's actually give it an effort this time. We're doing this.

I'm onboard as well.
Pod porn will be turn on so at least I can get a bit of enjoyment while getting killed over and over again.

Just wondering if we should have new tag for instructors?
Something painfully obvious to every type of new player we may encounter such as @Allegiance_Instructor.

I was very unimpressed with the quality and content of the pod porn when I had it 10 years ago.
