Let's start over.
I dunno man you were on the list of people who got hype when Weed was like "imma make everything 10% faster."
One of the things I've learned in customer service is this: the customer has no $#@!ing clue what they want and are almost certainly wrong. But you also have to deal with the fact that they're human which means they're likely not receptive to the fact that they're wrong and will fight you every step of the way as you deliver them the experience they secretly wanted but won't admit to wanting because they were too busy living in a fantasy world.
I guess what I'm suggesting is, give PCore016 a chance. Take a few flights, see how things feel. Be open to the idea that you might have to adjust the way you fly by boosting differently or whatever. I really think that when you approach the changes in a core as "a way to challenge myself and master the fundamental mechanics of Allegiance" you'll like it. I mean honestly I had no real major problems with Weedcore because if I'm good at Allegiance, I'll be good at Allegiance on weedcore.
That's not true of every core obviously. You've seen the @#(! that happens with lead indicators on metzcore. I remember last time I played with you and Weed you guys were like "yeah P1 just throws 2 carriers in our face I mean wtf." Yup. Because if I have a lead and you don't you can't ever beat me. Not even with the drop on me. Leads are that $#@!ing stupid broken.
And to be honest, I bought into the lie that was shared. "Lead indicators can be spoofed" "Lead indicators detract from aiming." Sure, if you think the lead indicator is going to tell you where to shoot. It doesn't tell you where to shoot, it tells you where your opponent is going... and frankly all of you, YES YOU WASP, can be made better by leads. Knowing where the enemy is going is like 9/10ths the battle, and the HARD parts of aiming are putting your guns in a place where you can walk them onto the target. The easy part is the walking. Lead indicators get rid of the hard part, which makes people who've mastered the easy part god like.
When leads come into play it's not that kills go up. It's that instead of Terran going 20/2 in 40 minutes when the next best pilot on his team goes maybe 10/2, Terran goes 30/2 in 40 minutes with the next best on his team going 6/2. Lead indicators *do not make the game more even,* they disproportionately help the 1% get better. There was a game where sumv and I could hold of Weed, Dome, Ryu, and two others... BY OURSELVES. Simply because we abused lead indicators and outflew our opposition. I promise you that in a non-lead environment it would have been much harder for us to hold on. SumV and myself aren't saying that lead indicators are bull@#(! because somehow we get fewer kills with them, we're saying they're bull@#(! because
we have experienced the SSJ-3 level power boost that comes from having them and feel like it massively cheapens the experience.
Metz will not listen, but every time I pod metz he complains that I cheat. As if being better than metz is somehow cheating. If that's the case then literally every $#@!ing pilot is cheating at one time or another because Metz? You have mediocre mechanical skill. You are also the most $#@!ing useless teammate on earth. The number of times I have seen a team fail at an objective because you're busy trying to live up to a glory level you have not earned makes me $#@!ing sick. You play fine.
ACT LIKE IT. Thall, I'm calling you out too: you play fine when you play.
ACT LIKE IT. I just have to shoot at you for ten seconds and watch you run away 5k off to the middle of nowhere. It's never correct to chase you and I know it, SumV knows it, and we're not doing it because "this time it's correct" we're doing it because "meh let's do it this time and see what happens." It's a real shame because you're good enough to make a tangible difference... but the way you hide off and conserve your KB makes you very predictable and easy to shut down. Maybe you don't believe this is the case, but it *is.*
The TL/DR is this:
Lead indicators are op as @#(! and only a moron wouldn't be able to see it.
