Take a look at some of the great new features which were released without any announcement!
Little arrow thingy points to your current target.Miners say "enemies on my scope" and possibly have different behavior.Server crashes more often now!

^ This.Saudade wrote:QUOTE ( Saudade @ Mar 10 2018, 11:31 AM) can the devs focus on fixing bugs and stabilizing the game & servers instead of using this game as a toyground to add whichever features they dim fit without any feedback from the community
People who dev and don't play and/or have extremely limited game experience/knowledge don't seem to appreciate how much the unilateral changes they make can affect gameplay...and possibly stability.
Not everything is a "bug" or "exploit" that needs to be fixed nor is every "feature" something needs implemented.
People can choose to not play on a core they don't like, they don't have such options when it comes to code changes.
The game was pretty stable like a month ago and had been for a while and now it's crashing a lot again.

There's a new sheriff in town.
Also, cons do a thing now where you send them a build order and they fly to a rock to build on it and then just stare at it. forever. and never build. This just started happening recently, last month or two? I thought it was my imagination until last time I saw it i had sent an exp con to a sector for it to autobuild on an exp rock and it flew to the rock and a minute later it was sitting there just staring at until i told it again to build.
so in the last bit con AI has been broken, miner AI has been broken, server stability is broken, and people are saying autopilot is also broken now too?

Autopilot is borked because of the speed change in the cores.

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

and now I'm recalling that tech cons were "fixed" so they that'd no longer autobuild after launching
I think as a result of that they no longer build when you manually send them to a sector with the appropriate rock to build there so that they autobuild on that rock
even though there's a build order in the chat, it won't actually build on that rock until you explicitly tell it to build on that rock. Until then it'll just drive there and stare at it.
I think that's what's going on

I am sorry about this.
A fix is on the codebase and will be deployed soon

The announcement is on Discord in #announcements. Who would have thought.
Now that you found that, go on and count, how many changes are random @#(! I came up with and how many are things you moaned about before already?
You will probably come up with the joystick indicator, but nope, that is what a number of newbies asked for.
Or the miners running due to nearby threats. Nope again, that is actually a bug fix and they should have always been doing that, if not for the bug introduced in 2009.
$#@!ing unbelievable ungrateful bitches.
I wanted to do some crowd funding shenanigans for Allegiance and make it big. But seeing the reactions I get here, I want to do that less and less.
So that takes the number of active devs, to, I don't know ... damn near ZERO. Congratulations, you won't be likely to see any more unannounced (or announced) changes anytime soon.
Thanks to BT btw, who acted amazingly fast (for his standards
), after the community failed to find the server crashes all week. Which is also what you linked to Blacksun. If you bitches were complaining about those crashes, fair enough, although that is near unavoidable without a test server. When I asked people to use another server to test, I believe it was terran who refused because of him having a bad ping to Europe. (While I of course play on American servers from Europe all time ...)
