Since you guys can't fly on Pcore13 without ramming rocs, I went back to the drawing board and fiddled around and came up with something new. Here it is, PCore014!


-Fig speed down to 120 (153/130) at all levels.
-Fig side and rear thrust to 1 (.85) at ENH, ADV levels
-INT thrust to 360 (300), sidethrust values to .85 (1.0)
-INT speed down to 100/90 for INT/HVY (110/100)
-INT fuel up to 13/14/15 (12/13/14)
-FIG fuel up to 15/17/20 (10/12/15)
-Hvy boost thrust to 2000(1350), fuel consumption to .0014(.000944)
-LtBoost thrust to 550/650(450/500), Consumption to .0004/.0003(.0007/.0006)
-Boost 1/2/3 thrust values to 1100/1200/1300 (900/900/1100)

Lots of changes here, but basically it comes down to this: Ships were really floaty in Pcore13. These changes should make the combat ships (figs and ints) less floaty while still retaining that nice touch of speed they had. In addition, everyone gets to boost longer! For ints, this is kind of a revert back to the old ways for hvy ints. For figs, this is a HUGE buff because frankly figs SHOULD be boosting longer than ints. Figs are marathon runners, ints are sprinters. I'm going to monitor the thrust values to make sure this is fine, but as a general rule of thumb for int pilots: you probably should spend less time chasing random figs and more time sitting near whatever you're defending, be it a miner or a bbr.



-GT hvy scouts need to be fixed: mount forward miniac and no turret.


-Afterburner research needs to go the way of the dodo.


-Take 10% away from drac models length

Drac's new models are gorgeous (TY Alaskan!) and fun to hit (TY Alaskan!) but are perhaps a bit TOO much fun to hit. As a result, the figs, scouts, and ints have had their models reduced by 10%. SFs have stayed the same because meh, suck it up they're SFs.

-Belters mass increased by 15% and bbr thrust increased by 25%

Belters have been flying too well, so I nerfed their mass to make them feel a bit more like bricks. Since this would be very problematic for the bbrs, I also upped bbr thrust. Now you can dodge like a champ in a belters bbr (not really) but the suckers should still only be going in the 140-160 range, which feels about right. Any further nerfs to belters bbrs will come in the form of sweeping changes to the way bombing works, so keep your eyes peeled for that!


-Dumbfire turn radius to .8 at all levels (.61/.69/.78)

Dumbfire has been having some problems hitting the things it's supposed to hit. It's a little unreasonable to ask that figs not try to dodge incoming fire while attacking miners, so I turned up the turn radius a bit. This should help dumbfires do a better job of hitting targets like miners and bbrs. Their "max lock" is still 0, so they will continue to track like they're drunk, which is to say they'll still take better pursuit lines than 90% of the playerbase.

Because people bitch about how unfun it is to fly figs compared to ints.

You are right; however, and figs are stronk at the moment.
