Hi all,

Trying to get back into this, am able to get the game running, and have no apparent connection issue. However the game reliably crashes after a few minutes of playing in game, with a connection related error, either "Guaranteed message could not be delivered" or "Pings were not returning". Or occasionally it CTD.

Any time taken to help appreciated.

I wonder if you might be doing some port blocking either in your router or --- due to firewall software --- or some other way.

You should disable or remove all firewall software and internet security software and see what happens then.

We're having a blast with the game and it works fine - so I hope you can join us.

Hey Forbes,

The fact that you were able to get online and play tells us that the issue is likely related to the internet connection. When in game, hit ESC P and check your latency. Also, if you hit alt f , you can check your "Ping:" value. It should cycle between 0 and 6. If it goes above 6 and keeps climbing, you're temporarily disconnected from the server. If you look to the left of the "Ping:", you can find the server IP address and do a tracert to it. (Google it). :)

Another tip,.. If you're overclocking your computer, stop. Allegiance does not get along well with overclocking.

The time seems to have increased on average, maybe 5 - 25 minutes now, but still getting guaranteed message/ping errors. The ping seems fine in game, about 130. I have tried tracerts to both servers, but they start timing out requests after about 15 - 20 hops.

Ping the server while you're connected and see if the ping breaks when your error pops up. ping -t IPaddress

Remain unable to ping the game server, able to ping google.com fine, play other games without dropping.
