First of all, I want to say that if there is a better place to put this then feel free to move this thread. This isn't specifically about allegiance so I didn't think that putting it in the Tech Support Forum here was appropriate.
Last night I was able to ask some of you about the problems I've been having with my laptop, where it will turn really dim after I start it up. Apparently it isn't a software issue, since it now happens even before Windows loads and when I'm just seeing the bare black and white text that all computer show when you start them up. After doing a little research and posting on the tech support forum on reddit (Side note: those guys are complete @#$%@#s if you don't format your post exactly the way they want them), realizing that I couldn't see the screen at all when my lights are off, and finding out that shining a flashlight on the screen and seeing that it makes the screen easier to see, the conclusion I've drawn is that there something wrong with the backlight.
My question is: is this something worth fixing, or should I just get a new computer? It is 4 years old, running on five years this Christmas, so maybe It was time to replace it anyway. Still, I don't like replacing my things very much. What do you guys think?
