Hey.
I am about to buy The gtx 980 by Gigabyte.
And knowing that water cooling GPUS is cheaper nowdays, i wanted to try water cooling my newest GPU.
Having no experience in graphics card water cooling, I ask you members of the pc master race this:
Is there a closed water loop for my GPU which is also easy to mount, and maintain?

You intend to overclock your 980 to the extent you want water cooling? Are you going to run Allegiance in 10808080p?
I have heard rumors of mounts you can stick on your card that would enable you to attach a retail closed loop water cooler, but I am not sure if this is the stuff of fantasy.

i just wanna inform myself on the possibility of running a water loop on the 980 and yes i wanna overclock it.
(allegiance in 4k would be cool btw)!

Corsair makes a bracket called the HG10, not sure if it supports your card. NZXT makes another one called the G10 Kraken that has been in market longer. Both require you to purchase a compatible closed loop cooler on your own.

i would recommend against buying a 980
the 970 is an excellent GPU and it's not a significant enough performance increase over a 970 to warrant spending another $200 on it, and even then unless you also have either a 4k monitor or a 120hz monitor it's going to be wasted in applications outside of the newest games on ultra, and it's still a waste unless you have a sufficiently powerful CPU to ensure you aren't cpu bound in anything

Night is 100% correct here, but if I recall correctly Blacksun has limited access to PC components and thus may not have that many options in front of him.
I forgot to add that some of the closed loop cooler brackets do a terrible job of cooling the non GPU parts of the card (VRM/memory chips/etc...).
If you go the route of full (real) watercooling...make sure you get a card with a "reference" design lest you run into complications finding a compatible waterblock.
