Hi guys,

Old returning voob here. I'm hoping people still play this game. Figured I'd try reinstalling allegiance and get a few games in for old time's sake but am unfortunately experiencing some technical difficulties logging in through the new ACSS (well new relative to the old ASGS, anyway.)

Windows Version (and Service Packs): Windows 8.1
Video Card (Make and Model#): nVidia GeForce GTX-780
Sound Card (Make and Model#): Realtek HD Audio
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): Cable
Modem/Router (Make and Model#): Don't know, it belongs to my landlord upstairs
Internet Service Provider(company name): Comcast
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): San Francisco, CA, United States
Installed Mods: None

Make and Version of firewall: Don't know, belongs to my landlord upstairs
Make and version of anti-virus: Common sense is my antivirus


Problem Encountered at Step #: 4
Which Program (Community Security System/Allegiance): ACSS
What Error Message: Failed to contact server, please try again later
Comments (What you tried, description, etc): I know it's not a firewall issue, there are no outgoing port forwarding rules set up that I'm aware of. Also, if I try logging in with a different password for my callsign, it actually detects this and produces an invalid username/pw error. I'm able to play dozens of other games online with no issues.

So I assume you can't try plugging directly into the modem..

Well just an update, it's finally working for me today. I guess it had something to do with all the problems other people were reporting with ACSS judging from the other thread :-X
