Well, I loved Allegiance during beta and played the heck out of it during the initial release (despite the fact I was on 56k and it was laggy and I frequently got disconnected, much to my frustration!)... going to try it again...
So glad to see there is still a community around playing it!!
Umm...
I found this on my wall... I think I forgot it was there for a decade or so, haha!

Mine came with a random magazine of PC Gamer. I think it had Freespace 2 or something on it too.

Are any online games from 1999 still being played? Just wondering if allegiance is the oldest still active mmo.

It's not an mmo.
Anyway Ultima Online started before and is still going on I think and that is an MMO. Counterstrike is a little bit older then Allegiance and is also still being played.

That's fun to have on your wall. If Allegiance had been more successful and spawned a successful (but niche) franchise, that could have been worth a lot! If you had good memories of the game though, I am sure it is very valuable for sentiment.
