Windows Version (and Service Packs): Windows 7, no service packs
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): Cable
Modem/Router (Make and Model#): Netgear wnr2000v3
ISP: Using the university network

Make and Version of firewall: Symantec Endpoint Protection
Make and version of anti-virus: Symantec Endpoint Protection

Problem Encountered at Step #: 2

Symantec Endpoint Protection uses a firewall policy set by the university but it hasn't caused trouble for any other game
Based on what I've read about this problem, I am quite certain it is not an issue with my graphics card or whatnot. Regardless, here is the ouput log:

Hi darkkai,

I believe that your WMI stack has become corrupt, please try these steps, and let us know.

Please try the following: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums...reinstallrepair

1) Start the computer and press F8 on boot up and select Safe Mode.

2) In the start menu type "cmd" (without quotes) and on the top search result, right click the program icon and choose Run as administrator

3) Type "net stop winmgmt" (without quotes) and press Enter to make certain the WindowsManagementInstrumentation (WMI) service is not running.

4) Open a Windows Explorer and locate the path to C:\ windows\system32\WBEM\ folder and rename the Repository folder to something else like RepositoryOLD (right click and choose 'Rename Folder').

5) Reboot and restart as normal.

6) In the start menu type "cmd" (without quotes) and on the top search result, right click the icon and choose Run as administrator

7) Type "net stop winmgmt" (without quotes) and press enter to stop the WMI service.

8) Type "winmgmt /resetRepository" (without quotes) and restart the computer.

Thanks,
-BT

I thought that might be the case, simply didn't want to make things worse by guessing. Your solution worked, though I ended up getting the same result without using safe mode for the initial command. Thank you for your time, and have a nice day.
