Remember when I was saying stuff about how unrestricted immigration from the Middle East was a bad idea? Not only with them wanting special zones for religious practices (IE: No drinking in this area, smoking etc) Now they are up and hacking up English soldiers in their own home country.

This is a single tragic Murder, nothing more.
A crime performed and the perpetrators were caught.
It's desperately sad.
Wall to wall coverage can't help the bereaved family deal with this.
Murders happen literally daily in this country on average, this one has got special attention because
a) It was in London (always gets more attention)
b) There is vivid bloody footage.
c) The presumed murderer is Muslim and spouts some BS about it being a noble Cause.
d) The victim is a soldier
Am I the only one who feels that having National Security meetings, wall to wall coverage, news broadcasters showing the bloody video again and again is exactly what the individuals involved wanted?
It makes their cause seem more worthwhile than the tawdry and vicious murder it was.
The other thing is (and the reason we end up with this pointless self defeating wall to wall coverage.)
The perpetrators are getting exactly what they want from politicians and press.
The press are getting what they want to increase sales.
The politicians are getting what they want, as they love a good manageable "crisis", that makes them appear strong and in control
The responses to the act are making me almost as sick as the murder.
Got no idea why Sgt. major thinks we have unrestricted immigration from the middle east here though, or why it thinks it had anything to do with this crime
