Windows Version (and Service Packs): XP; Service Pack 2 (al least. I'm fairly confident this is the last Service Pack I can install w/o certain applications no longer working
Video Card (Make and Model#):
Sound Card (Make and Model#):
Connection Type (Dialup, Cable, DSL, other): Cable - 100Mbps download rate
Modem/Router (Make and Model#): Ethernet wired (& wireless for someone else's laptop)
Internet Service Provider(company name): Comcast
Location(State/Province/Locality, and Country): US, NJ so far
Installed Mods: Fresh Alleg download & install even before getting to apply any mods

Make and Version of firewall:
Make and version of anti-virus:

Problem Encountered at Step #: (read the "What Should Happen" for this step#) Upon having selected & after clicking the button in Step 8, before reaching Step 9 starting about about 2 weeks I've began seeing a pop-up message in-window (same game font & colors))stating something to the effect of "Authent(fi)cation Failure: Please restart using the Authenti(fi)cation System". Each time that I attempt to start, even after having just freshly logged in to both the ACSS pre-launcher & this (previously unnoticed) Community -> Site Navigation: ACSS: Account Management
Which Program (Community Security System/Allegiance):
What Error Message: "Authent(fi)cation Failure: Please restart using the Authenti(fi)cation System"
Comments (What you tried, description, etc):
Anybody else getting this? -And also, it it me, or does it seem that to download & install Allegiance nowadays even before mods & textures/artwork and all the required updates takes about a Gig of memory now?
...<your comments here>...

On XP you can update to service pack 3. We need to know at least what video card is installed, firewall (windows default?), and
anti-virus.

Do you start Allegiance via ACSS Launcher or do you start Allegiance yourself by clicking on Allegiance executable within the Allegiance\Productive folder?

This error occurs if you start Allegiance yourself, instead of letting the ACSS Launcher doing that job.
