Hi,
Pardon me if I am posting it in wrong place but couldnt find any forum head particularly for posting resume for squad recruitment.
I am playing this game for a month and learnt the basics as well as
some advanced tactics and procedures in game. I am looking for vacancy in squad. The cadet course
is not open for the moment so I directly put my resume here.
Things I can do-
1) Scout and probe at good places so that enemy cannot find the probes.
2) Escort cons from far and nan only when the con's hull is damaged.
3) Can prox in the path of incoming attacking ships.
4) Spot enemy miners in scout and call for offense help.
5) I have experience in bombing with regular bbrs, figbees, stealth bbrs.
I especially like sbing enemy bases by coordinating with teammates
from a safe distance and then launching group attack on tech bases.
6) I am good at shooting from behind and poding enemies when he/she is
engaged in other things. [Poded many veterans this way, ]
Things in which I am still weak-
1) Direct dogfight with experienced players.
2) Though I have knowledge on HTT run but have no real experience in it.
But played stealth support role on htt runs.
3) I have absolutely zero knowledge on shipyard and it's capital ships.

Thank You
Looking for Squad recruitment

I'll look out for you in game and I'm sure other squad leadership will do the same.
Perhaps what I see is not the truth. Shall I ever get the sight to see beyond?
Maybe you've already done it, but try tio install and use Mumble.
All squads use it during squadgames (and is used by some pilots in regular games during Sunday as well). It will enhance your awareness of what is happening in the game, and a lot of the social activity occurs there as well.
Good luck.

Yes I have already done it (version 1.2.3a) but having a problem with it. The layout is not showing in game (even after launching it prior to the launch of alleg). I can hear and talk in game but cant see who is talking. I googled the problem and somewhere it was stated that it has that particular issue with windows 7. Dont know what to do. Btw, my laptop is dell xps m1330 with intel core 2 duo.MonAG wrote:QUOTE (MonAG @ Feb 4 2013, 10:42 AM) Maybe you've already done it, but try tio install and use Mumble.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway

While it would be nice to have the overlay work, the fact that it doesn't shouldn't be the determining factor in whether you use mumble or not.Vyaasdeb wrote:QUOTE (Vyaasdeb @ Feb 4 2013, 08:26 AM) Yes I have already done it (version 1.2.3a) but having a problem with it. There are ways you can work around your issue such looking at your mumble client when people are talking to see which voice matches up with which name... and then just remember it.
Personally I never use the overlay because I know everyone's voice and if there is a voice that I don't know, I minimize alleg, look at mumble and then I will forever know who that person is. Obviously I don't expect this of you right off the bat, but like I said before, the fact that you can't get mumble overlay to work should not take away the importance of using mumble, especially since you're new and looking for a squad.
Time to work on my TheAlaskan impression ...Dome wrote:QUOTE (Dome @ Feb 5 2013, 01:48 PM) Personally I never use the overlay because I know everyone's voice and if there is a voice that I don't know, I minimize alleg, look at mumble and then I will forever know who that person is.
