Not sure if there is a home for pilots seeking recruitment so here it is.
So, who wants to sign me up? Also, there are probably some other noobs interested in squads as well.

Normally we at @MEC are pretty eager to take on new pilots (I've tagged five people in the past month alone!). However, in the interest of squad balance you might want to consider talking to @BS or @SF, or perhaps our squad league allies at @RT first.

Out of interest, of the last 3 months of AFS, what has been the squad takeup from students?
Are they being spread around to strengthen the league?
Personally, I think Cashto's sentiments are noble but not shared by other squad leadership. If this is the case, this should change. And if AFS isnt shuffling the deck, this should change also.

As far I know AFS is a one man show with more or less success.
AFS isn't anymore the same as it was before (@CDT), which throws a brunch of new players into squads.
Now you have three options:
Wait and hope:
Wait until the last active player leaves your squad (MIA).
Make new friends:
Train new players yourself.
Get involved into current training programs.

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.

Actually, over at BS we decided to approach you about joining a little while ago. I haven't gotten around to it because I've been all over the place and slacking on my ASL duties lately.
I'll talk to you about it in game if I see you, or you could send me a PM or reply in this thread if you want. It'd probably be worth your time to poke around at the other squads that are low on players and figure out which would be the best fit for you.
