So, I am lazy and don't want to do all the programming myself, but there are a lot of "soundboard" apps available for Android machines (I am not really in to that Fruit company flavour), so then I thought it would be cool to have one with my favourite game. Just going "Incoming Capital Ship" when the "boss" arrives would be a laugh, as would many of the other voice chats.
Just thought I should toss the ball in the air to see if some one picks it up
Needless to say, I have a bunch of friends who used to play Alleg that I would taunt at every possible opportunity

Why not taunt your friends with VCs by getting them back in game

Oh, I'm slowly convincing them to play again. My experience to play at our regular LAN sessions have failed thou, mostly because the younger ppl. cant organise them self enough. How ever, Rune and UT99 Morpheus InstaGib are still played a lot so I am thinking of looking in to re-introducing Allegiance with DMing, perhaps CTF (if it still works) and then we could perhaps play conquest on-line at a later time. Another option would be to play conquest on small maps with reduced sector size and only one tech. tree.
On the positive side for this, the server responsible just got a new heap of HW, so he is actually looking forward on configuring a server for Allegiance (for LAN that is).
But no sight of soundboard yet I suppose, there should be a generic DIY app for this, since there are so many other soundboards, but I guess that would be to simple.

That would be wicked to have Allegiance ring tones.

They are wavs and oggs so they're easily played by Android phones.
Only if you want some special app.....

Yes. Just convert the sounds to .mp3. Usually all cellphones nowadays have the option to play .mp3 files as ring tones.
