I am not too sure if it is an "exploit", especially since it is not an invincible tactic. Probably a dirty trick, yes. But using "big ships" to block red doors is accepted, so I don´t see how it is different from using carriers to block an aleph.

Freighters, from the wiki:

"Even when it is seen it is probably only a "joke ship", attempting to clear camped alephs by absorbing the mines, ramming enemy fighters to death, or blocking enemy stations' exit doors. "

Easy solution..... just make aleph res cheaper. ;)

I think it's a legitimate tactic. You need perseverance to push past it, and as pkk said, Res solves the problem,

Tbh the difficulty in placing a carrier to perfectly block a res is worthy of having it as a shield for a bit, anyway you can still enter alephs at oblique angles to come out at oblique angles to try and avoid it much like avoiding prox camps.

Was this a carrier drone they blocked you or an attack carrier?

It's pretty hard to line up a drone to block the aleph and like I said you can enter at oblique anlges to exit and oblique angles and avoid the block. I think it's a nice ingenious tactic.

Also pkk mentioned most of the ways to solve it. Res is most effective but you can also use large constructors to ram it, yes 10k con to move drone blah blah blah, this is hardly an exploit, maybe a lame tactic, maybe an ingenious tactic but not an exploit.

Exit angle is random, and independent of entry angle.
