(Frustration in leadership overflows from time to time so please forgive.)

What the $#@! are the ZLs doing? WHY DO WE HAVE ZL'S IF THEY ARE INACTIVE.

We need to have ACTIVE leadership if we want to do anything. (TE has a pass cause he holds the most alleg keys, pays the most alleg bills, and makes sure the website remains hosted. That said, obviously it'd be nice if TE was more active.)

The inactive ZLs need to be removed by force.

The semi-active ZLs need to seriously consider whether or not they are being helpful or not. Besides PKK and sometimes Rav the rest of our ZLs seem to have abandoned the game completely. With the nearing release of ACSS this is not the type of message we need to be sending to the remaining players and potential future players. It's disgusting.

This isn't a power grab. I don't necessarily want to be a ZL but I DEFINITELY DO if the alternative is someone who is inactive.

For example:
Beer, the enforcement lead, has yet to return a single PM from anyone in NI since the formation of the squad. Forum moderation is practically nil.

Another example:
CookieMonster, the events lead, while understandably is concerned with his real life educational endeavors (much respect), DOESN'T SCHEDULE ANY EVENTS.

The rest:
Notjarvis is completely MIA.
BlackViper :notworthy: is completely MIA.
DasSmiter is seemingly completely MIA.
FreeBeer is seemingly completely MIA (in the forums).
Pkk is the last bastion of hope but is saddled with waiting for TE and ACSS.
Raveen is in Offtopic..

And that rounds out the sum of our ZLs. What disappoints me the most is the fact that if they know they aren't doing anything that they don't step down. This game CAN be saved. It can.. With ACSS and then subsequent mass email to all old players, a PLANNED FOR YEARS ramping up of advertisement to new players, and SOME EVENTS TO GET PEOPLE EXCITED, ALLEGIANCE CAN BE SAVED.

It's so obvious. And here's another $#@!ing post for you all to agree or disagree with. Stfu and do something. Raise hell. DO SOMETHING.

An active admin would make sure we had active ZLs. But really other than enforcement who needs special access, the other roles can be done by anyone. Instead of wasting time complaining about inactive ZLs, spend the time actually doing something.

Want events? Plan one.
Want to develop a core? Develop one.
Want to train players? Train them.
Want new features? Code them.
Want to help with tech problems? Help players with their problems.
Want to improve documentation? Edit the Wiki

The problems are 1) Inactive admin and 2) Lots of complaining, no action.

An inactive admin is a major roadblock for some things like the website/forums and game updates. But there is no reason someone can't step and do other stuff. Usually ZLs get the job after already being a strong contributor within that zone. Now, as far as I can tell, very few within the entire community are doing anything at all to help allegiance.

Hold elections. Back to problem 1, no admin around to make any changes. Haven't some of the current ZLs already said they don't have time and have tried to step down?

I'm not a ZL, although I admit I still have the tag and access which I retained in an attempt to gee up the ZLs and get things done (move discussions onto votes for example).

If you want ZL elections (and I'm not sure whether that'd be a good or bad thing) you need candidates. If there were candidates for the vacant jobs then there'd be a reasonable chance that they'd be doing the job, at least informally.

I'm not wasting my time and effort trying to support a game when that game is so severely broken.

The train is off the tracks and I'm not going to spend one minute of my time stoking the boiler.

If you want to support this royal mess, have at it.

How about we get someone like MrChaos to take charge and turn this mess around?...oh, that's right, any efforts to fix this is immediatly shot down because it requires TE to sh.t or get off the pot (and he'll do neither).

So how about you Dome?...how about you fix this? Then you'll learn what so many others have...
[15:25] <BBT_> oh, so da vinci's mona lisa isn't his work?
[15:25] <+fuh-zz> No, he simply put effort into it.
[15:25] <BBT_> are you really that retarded?

You've spent more than one and more than a hundred minutes writing these kind of posts.

And you've spent more time reading posts like these rather than doing something constructive around here. Without trolls, your life is pretty much empty, isn't it?

Bring back DN and a mass email to old players (Like I've been saying for years!), organise events and advertise to new players and play on planet.

Bring back the fun that alleg was in 2007 and before. The key is to make it FUN again!

Make dome chief admin - he is very active in game and forums and he has the time

give him the power

Dome = Heman

If you do not give him power, he will take power. Like Stalin of old russia.

The way things are going dome will be one of the only people left here.

MAKE DOME THE ADMIN

""It's not the people who vote that count. It's the people who count the votes." (Josef Stalin)

Soviet National Anthen *english)

ok I'm serious - I've known dome a long time, he's a good guy who can be a bad guy for the sake of saving the game, bottom line is he is the man (heman) who can get things done (dome)

DOME I SUPPORT YOU!

I'm with you also. If other ZL's don't like it, they can step up and whine. Things aren't moving fast enough around here.

/ I would also like to apologize for not playing more often, but graveyard shift makes that hard for me.

We have the ability to save this game with some active, motivated leadership. By active, I mean both in game and in the community. Jesus, we aren't talking about landing on the moon here.
