The community needs a leader. Who it is doesn't even matter so much, but it is needed.
I will do it if nobody else will. I have the time on my hands right now. I will kick everyone in the balls repeatedly until we have an active game again.
And then after the dirty work is done I'll probably hand off the torch to somebody else who can just maintain things.

Many people have mentioned/volunteered/pledged to get @#(! done around here

I think both Drizzo and Cashto had volunteered to head up ACS
Weedman had planned to take over and continue XC core development
Backtrack is slowly getting ACSS but it never gets the testing attention it needs, so that takes forever
FAZ BETA never gets enough testing attention, so that takes forever
TA is hammering out a faction with a little help from others
Fwiffo retired from training
MrC gave up
+everything else i've forgotten

basically it amounts to nobody wants to waste their time and energy on a game that nobody plays
and we're squabbling about mostly inconsequential changes we can make to try to retain a couple more players
it isn't going to work. major overhaul, energy, time, and intention needs to be invested.

I need a detailed list/description of every position of important/power/authority/significant in this community, and who holds each position
those who do nothing will be replaced

Those who hold tags/tokens in this game but do nothing, will lose them

I will force squad mergers or disbandments for everyone squad who can't field 10 players for a SG in the near future

We will discuss new website/domain name possibilities (I will not push for that if we don't all more or less agree it is a good idea)

After ACSS and related updates are hammered out, and new website/domain name possibilities are explored, people will be appointed to advertising/marketing positions

this is all just off the top of my head
if nobody wants to bother then we may as well just uninstall

Now I think many people will agree, that having Metz has our overlord is a very bad idea due to the pure hatred people have against him. But I for one don't care if he is giant d-bag if he can (and is willing to) commit some time from his life trying to revive this game, which at the moment is just going downhill as far as I can tell. So I say sure, let him try. Besides I am sure that Metz will be able to take all the abuse and monkey poo that will be flinged in his direction, which is really needed in Community leader atm.

I would suggest sending this message in a PM to TE. I believe he can answer most of your questions. PKK may also be able to answer most of the above questions.

I don't think a new domain is needed as not sure who owns Freeallegiance.org but I know TE owns Freeallegiance.com and has it mirrored to this site.

I vote yes to #mutiny if you promise to
- link game accounts to forum accounts and only active accounts are allowed to post outside of tech-support.

When i read "New distribution of alleg power" i suddenly thought "New world order". ha

Regardless i welcome the chance for a decent leader and unlike many of you i don't find Metz anywhere as insufferable as he is made out to be.

Maybe the problem is that the Training Zone is dead/without an active leader, like other Zones.
Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Aug 19 2012, 08:20 AM) Weedman had planned to take over and continue XC core development
No action needed at all.

BT and I worked on the new installer during the past weeks. It takes some time to get new things ready for testing.

Seems like you don't read the Developer's Lounge forum:

See Training Zone issue.
Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Aug 19 2012, 08:20 AM) MrC gave up
The real question is, why did he give up?
Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Aug 19 2012, 08:20 AM) Those who hold tags/tokens in this game but do nothing, will lose them
That's maybe the real issue ATM.
Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Aug 19 2012, 08:20 AM) I will force squad mergers or disbandments for everyone squad who can't field 10 players for a SG in the near future
Some agree with you, some don't. You can't find the ultimate solution for this. We have made 'rules' to create a new squad, but we don't have 'rules', which indicate that a squad is 'active'.
Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Aug 19 2012, 08:20 AM) We will discuss new website/domain name possibilities (I will not push for that if we don't all more or less agree it is a good idea)
No idea who said we need a new domain, what we need is SEO, maybe you should read AEM's posting again:
AEM wrote:QUOTE (AEM @ Aug 14 2012, 11:07 AM) New domains - OK: It is hard to rank well with a new domain. We have been here awhile so our established domain is actually helping our ranking.
Overall:
Futzing around ('blind actioism') doesn't help. Most problems can be solved with active administration (access to key systems) and that is what TE is working on.
