All systems are go for an ACSS beta weekend! ASGS and the public lobby will be disabled on 6/15 and will not be reactivated until 6/17, so players should follow the below instructions to participate.
If you haven't tried out the latest security client for Allegiance yet, this weekend is the perfect time to do so. All you will need to do to participate is to download the beta installer from this link:
http://allsrvbox.alleg.net/ACSS.zip
Unzip, and run setup.exe.
Non-English Windows users should first download and install .Net 3.5sp1 from this location: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22
ACSS is a replacement for ASGS, our old security client. The new ACSS client features an open architecture and easier administrative tools. ACSS can run side by side with ASGS without any issues, which means you don't have to do anything special to run the beta, and you can switch back to the legacy ASGS security client after the beta without uninstalling ACSS or making changes to your system. To run ACSS, launch the ACSS from your desktop. To run ASGS, launch ASGS from your desktop. Easy as that!
The main project goals of ACSS are to enable community developers to enhance the security client with new features and to address the bugs that are keeping new users from joining the game.
Thanks everyone for your help and support!
The ACSS Team
NOTICE:
No ASGS account will be ported to ACSS. Everyone will need to recreate their accounts on ACSS before they can play.
