as we try to ram up themed weekly trainings ill make this one attempt to solicit help to cover additional timeslots throughout the week to increase our coverage and availability for newbies to take advantage of our program. it need not interfere with your "regular" play time, in fact, i choose to do my trainings right after the "last" late night game when most people are gone and only newbies are left.

im sure such pockets of time exist throughout the day and even if they do overlap with other trainers, additional mentors wouldnt hurt.

i post this here because i figured that if you're actively checking in this forum to help answer some newbie question, you might also be active/willing enough to help out.

just post below a sample of time when you can help train others. this need not be a hard commitment, just a likely time when you can be available to do training. i will be sure to attach this schedule to the end of every training announcement.

I'm typically on weeknights 7-10pm Mtn time. Most often, my training help includes pulling a new player into a locked side game to make sure they're thrusters are mapped, and to introduce them to piloting with those thrusters.

From there, it's dependent upon the player's interests -- I'll explain inventory, aiming, using the minimap, piloting between sectors, F3 -- whatever will help lessen the learning curve.

Unfortunately, I don't log in much during the week these days. (Too many other things that need attention.) But when I'm around and sitting in NOAT, I'm always open to helping out. (In some cases, I'm the one that needs the help. :P )
