Hi
I've been playing around with twitch.tv today. It seems you can only stream windowed (and fake full screen windowed) games with xsplit, which seems to be the streaming app of choice.
So i can stream allegiance nicely in windowed mode, but since i play with mouse that doesn't really help a lot. Has anyone else tried to stream this game?

Sai Soma has spearheaded such an effort before. I actually assisted him by filming from the other team and we did some live commentary. Did you have particular questions I can answer?

Yeah, did you get it to work? I.e. could you livestream in fullscreen mode (while flying with mouse etc).
Edit: and specifically, which programs did you use?

I don't actually remember if I was in full screen mode but I believe it very well may have been windowed mode. Sai may still have a copy of it so he will know for sure. I asked him to stop by here.
I could livestream though while flying with my mouse and having full functionality with my keyboard etc.
I had downloaded a twitch tv streaming client I believe. I will check later on and see if I still have the file to update you on exactly what it was.
Lag was not an issue for the viewers as I recall either.

I was streaming to ustream.tv using a mix of stuff. It was VERY convoluted because of what and how I wanted to do it (delaying a live stream), but basically I took the HDMI output from my PC and used an HDMI capture card in another PC to capture the video and used Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) to mix the audio from several sources for live commentary. It worked decently, but suffered from lag to do lack of horse power (probably not an issue for a new PC today).
Where I really ran into trouble was trying to delay the video for live-casting of squad games. I used DVR software that came with my HDMI capture card. It worked great in all of my tests, but when we did the "real" game, it bombed when we hit the 30 min mark and tried to hit "play" and go live. I don't remember why now, but basically we lost everything and I just gave up.
