Now that steam has f2p games...it would be great if we could try to get allegiance onto that page.

I mean look at puzzle pirates,

that game had a playerbase of less than 10,000, now its on steam and its numbers have tripled in mere weeks.

I am not sure whether it is possible with the licensing, but if it is I think it would help the game immensely.

EDIT: btw I haven't played in about two years, just starting to get back into it in the bast couple of weeks.

What's stopping us? I remember some sorta odd iffy thing about Microsoft still owning some rights? So perhaps that...

Either way, whoever is in charge of such things; please try it soon.

This could work out. Would TE or TB know a good way of approaching this?
And great to see you again Barri

It's not really TE's or TB's role to do this. If it's something that's do-able, we should just approach them and do it. If something is required of TE, then we can take it to him for implementation.

I can try this week to contact steam to see what we may need to do in general.

My main worry is that the "shareware" license might prevent it from being eligible.

There also might he a way to get the asgs client classified as a "mod" (there was one space mod based on the source engine that was completely free) of allegiance (that might not help publicity so much though because that source space game thing is completely dead).

Nobody's going to suggest we wait until some milestone such as the release of R10 or CSS?

As soon as you say "wait until" you never do it.

Do it while you want to do it else it'll never get done :)
