This is the discussion topic for the wiki article: What is the difference between the various Cadet programs?

Kudos to everyone involved in the training program, awesome job.... but this terminology confusion could use some cleanup.

There are too many acronyms thrown about: CDT, CDT II, CDT-A, CDT-B, AFS and yet another CDT-A? (So we invented yet another program, and named it exactly the same as a previous, aborted program? ) We shouldn't need a FAQ page that tries to explain it all.

Why don't we simplify, get rid of the acronyms, call it something simple like the Flight School, and remove all references to obsolete terminology from everywhere? It's making it unnecessarily hard for a newbie to figure out what training is available, don't you think...and all because of some alphabet soup.
