This is a charity/donation. You can have all these games for as low as $0.5 fgs. And if you don't want to support the indie devs you can donate all the money to charity only (when you donate, you have sliders to choose where the money go).

Money has nothing to do with it. Thrown-out leftovers are free but that doesn't make it better than food you can buy from the supermarket. When you eat from the trash can, what you're wasting is not your money, but your time and health (and in the case of the "indie" games, mental health).

Nothing could be further from the truth, except for the elitist part of course. What has he built you ask? The best video game website in the world. Really, find a better one if you can. As for starving for attention THIS is starving for attention. Not to mention this and this. No one who writes and publishes something doesn't want attention (in other words, they write because they want to be read, else they'd just keep it to themselves). The difference lies in the value of what is written. You wouldn't catch me dead linking to those other 3 sites for the same reason I link, and will continue to link, to Insomnia.

I'll agree that he's a troll if you'll agree that a troll is one whose opinion you dislike but are incapable of refuting with reasoned argument. He also enjoys exposing "good" games for what they really are, just read the review, and what KGJV calls "jealous" is actually an attack on the "indie" sham.

@KGJV: I'm not trying to call you out on donating to charity or buying games, however good or bad they are. I'm just pointing out that it's really not as good a deal as one might think.

Maybe he's not stupid or a troll, but just honestly can't appreciate good video games? I dunno, maybe he cares about different things from me. I thought Knytt had an awesome atmosphere and tone to it, for example, whereas he thinks it's a boring game about walking through things made in MsPaint. He also thinks Flow has bad graphics because it's "just a bunch of circles and lines" or something like that (which is a lol-worthy critique). So maybe he's more of a philistine?

I mean, hey, I could make an art criticism blog and talk about how the Mona Lisa is a piece of crud and the Scream is ugly and stupid, and I suppose I'd be entitled to my opinion, but I expect other people would still call me an idiot if I did that.
