is it possible or does anyone know a way to make two pieces of research work with
exclusive or logic
ie
you can research tech A or tech B but not both

I could be wrong but not without defining a common successor to both and of course either tech enabling the successor. Probably not the behavior you want.

i think what i'm looking for is some sort of not condition available for prerequisites and/or defs
because the tech needing all the pre-s is standard and logic
and the conditions in the pre-s are standard or logic
i just need a not somewhere in there for massive fun and profit
ie
