there is a difference between good wine and bad wine, I can easily prove it, although to actually taste a significant difference you have to pair a very bad wine with a very good wine. most of the midrange decent stuff is.... well midrange and decent

and I think this principle applies to a lot of things. There is bad, decent/good, and stuff you spent too much money/time/thought on

But then, you can make *that* argument about anything... "Oh, computers? They all compute, right? Mac, PC, $3,000 desktop, $300 netbook, it's all basically the same, unless you've spent a year locked in a room with nothing but a bunch of computer specs..."

... Wait, that way of thinking makes no sense, there are obviously real differences between computers. But I'm sure the comic's logic still works perfectly well for all the things that you, the reader, aren't personally interested in or knowledgeable about! :P

Usually I love xkcd but I think this one misses the mark a bit, though it's still funny.
