Meh. The UK Government is basically trying to distract attention from the fact it's own MEPs were likely ot vote against the deal - so it was probably already in trouble.

Poland be a convenient scapegoat therefore to distract from being unable to control your own parties MEPs.......(the opposition was already making hay with this)

Rawr.... it's only gonna cost us so much more in the long run if we don't get serious about this now. Not to mention that the rising acidity level in the sea (from the dissolved CO2) is already causing a massive die off. This is gonna be a really @#(!ty decade

I'd rather it got a bit warmer than we fell into a new global ice age. Clearly the warming is going to cause some issues, but it's better than ice and shiz....

Money is always the tipping factor. If the economy is suffering because of higher fuel prices the higher levies on fuel (which is all politicians will do about it) would inevitably force people back to the horse and cart.

Saying that, I think that all cities could power themselves for their own human waste. At the moment the world is ruled by oil.
