I grew up listening to this guy and Sergei Pobedinski

To those without Russian Language facilities it sounds like Klingon Opera but classical tenors should not go unappreciated and the style is dying as the generations go onward.

The internet brought Eduard Khil to fame -- Let's use the internet to generate a tour or an album.

(edit -- More of Eduard's stuff)

I grew up with Ivan Rebroff. Russian, even when you don't understand it, is beautiful to listen to. Ivan Rebroff is actually a german national but in his day had an extraordinary vocal range. To my ear the russian baritones and basses are just stunning.

Did you know his brother, a german WW2 fighter pilot, believes that he shot down Antoine de Saint Exupery? Made headlines in Germany some years back with that claim. His logbook does have an entry on the date in question, he showed it to the press.
