Was wondering how to get server whitelisted?
I want to make some custom cores and maps, and to do that it seems I need to be running my own server if I want people to test it.

What do I need to provide to get whitelisted?

It might be easier to contact one of the existing server hosts and see whether they'd be willing to host your core for you. I know that pkk has been super helpful in the past and Peet is another all round good egg.

I'll finish the core and see if he will.

Not sure he'd want to though. It's more of a cheat core we agreed to make last night after a 2 hour match, 1.5 hours wasted on research.

Masta,

This is why our community has a bad reputation.
The level of respect you give newbies is less than your level of maturity. I'm shocked that's even possible.

Jamie,
Asking a server-op to host it is one way to try out your core. There are others too.
You can download and run the Allegiance server on your own computer, and you+your friend can connect to it locally.
If you want to host a public server, I am the admin who can whitelist your server.

Have fun tinkering with the game,

Clearly haven't read the rest of this "newbs" post or if you have you're pretending that they're not absolutely ridiculous.
even if this person is a legitimate newb it's just going to be a giant hassle trying to cater to them and their retarded expectations of an abandonware game
They just want to play without "wasting 1.5 hours on research" (i.e. deathmatch) and having to deal with ASGS and without having to deal without existing cores, without having to deal with existing maps, and without having to deal with tigereye and his "lazy butt"
not to mention this is one of those naive, over-motivated people that is most likely to start legal trouble if they read something they don't like

make them go make a LAN server and go away

or not because you personally are the one who are going to have to waste the extra time on them so if you want to do that, go for it, I'm sure you don't have better things to do
than deal with an annoying newb that's going to AT BEST (if they even manage it) to make cores and maps that are going to be absolutely terrible and then campaign endlessly to have them put on a server
unless they (at best) manage to get their own whitelisted server which is going to be terribly unreliable and the only people that will play on it is them and their housemates (so effectively, it will be a LAN server)

I would like to break apart your post and point out how hypocritical some of your points are masta, but I know it won't do any of us a bit of good. I think you have gone blind to hope for a better allegiance in any way but your own; if you even believe there can be a better allegiance.

You are getting in the way of things changing by stomping on those who might try and change it.

Now let the braying of the troll resume.
