So yesterday evening a nice little 20vs20 was fiercely fought out between the IronCoalion (Viru) and the Hive (myself). Map was Star and even though they were at tech disadvantage IC cought us off guard and managed to destroy OH's AdvExp with 2 MF as preparations were under way to deloy a game ending AssltShip attack. Being stripped off the only viable techpath in Expansioncore the minions of the hive decided to switch to full Shipyard mode and use their powerful Devastators to stay in the game. Unfortunately the transition was anything but smooth and not well executed due to me being too indecisive in key moments and rusty as $#@!. 
However after wasting a lot of time and losing base after base to Viru's MF low (which would later be saved from the fury of my skyrips by booting the crew to get the money back) the team showed a magnicifent dedication to get back on track. With uncontestet economy and map advantage IC was eventually able to reach AdvTech level themself but still had severe troubles of killing OH's well defended Miner.
OH even seized a tremendous opportunity after another failed Miner rush by deloying yet another AssltShip and almost destroyed IC's AdvExp bringing it down to 1% hull (but unfortunately the second Dev didn't shoot the base or something
).
Now with OH again being forced to start at square one in terms of Capship counts IC finally managed to get a somewhat decent contain up (TTing the OP next to their SY and building one of their own at the high choke). It still didn't prevent OH from having 2 gunned Devastators annihilating any IC presence that would disturb their juicy yield2 mining operations.
Then just as HvyClass was about to finish and AdvDev money was stored a very odd squequence of drops convientently happens in favour of the Coaltion.
Mind you we had two naned Devs camping an aleph from the side to slaughter any foolish attempt to break the camp with Capships. Devs with Dmg2/Range/Tac GAs and nice KBs.
Suddenly I drop (KB40ish) - Pilot of a Dev.
Then Devillian drops (KB47) - Formerly SkyCap2 Gunner now promoted pilot.
Then Babel drops (KB42) - Also Gunner then promoted pilot.
The only guy remaining is MeganFox with a Dev out of position after the promotion.
Nobody else drops from the server.
We rejoin to see a bunch of capships enter from the very aleph of the camp which is now overwhelmed and its gg.
I scream murder! Burn the witch that dropped us!
ps: Well fought everyone. Special shoutouts to the SF survivor which went afk for 20 minutes in the enemy SY sector and impressed the entire team with his performance upon his return.
