Ok, so I’m helping in hosting another LAN in Stockholm and being the person I am I will try to promote Allegiance again.
I am kindly asking you to be nice IF we ever show up on a server in this period.
If we show up on a server we might need Newbie friendly commanders with a lot of patience in a side game (if we are at least as many as 12 making it possible to run a 7 vs 7 game).
We might also want to participate in a Pick Up Game if we are less than 12 and then we kindly ask if we could be allowed to play on the same team. Yes it will totally screw up the stack with 6+ zeroes.
I have asked TheBored and Tigereye to white list our IP address so we can access the on-line servers and like last time and I hope they can help out with that even if they have not responded to my PM’s yet ;-)
I will try to list the names of all the pilots attending the LAN in this thread so it will be easy to identify us if we come on line.
Thank you!

If you could set up a date it would be way easier, maybe you could get someone to volunteer to command, I would do it, but I always lose PUG's.
I mean, as in very specific, not a 3 day range, maybe even a time

Good luck! I'll pop in and see how you're doing and/or if you need any help.

Noob bashing time!
I am joking. Good luck with the event. I hope at least half, if not all, of them stay and play

Hi OMB, please feel free to drop by, it would be fun, we are in Årsta, details can be found here
LAN.
As Allegiance is not a main event I can not schedule it. Most likely it will be (my aim anyway) Saturday evening between 22.00 and 24.00 CET. Before that I will spend time getting people to install Allegiance, change key mapping, do training missions and then Dogfight some and perhaps even run a small conquest on LAN server.
IF, and it is a big IF, things go well this LAN, Allegiance will be more of a main event next LAN (whenever this happens) and I hope to gradually build an interest/addiction

. IF (there it is again) I'm lucky I might actually hook some one directly, but I do not count on it.

Alright. I'm most likely busy on Saturday evening. I might stop by earlier though.

You are welcome!

Might I suggest that rather than wasting valuable time trying to get them to configure their controls, you have one or two "sane" keymappings that they can just grab and overwrite the default. Then maybe a handout for each type that they can reference if they want it. That way they get into the game faster = more fun. (They can always tweak later if they want.)

Way ahead of you
KeyMapsForLAN
Been tossing these with fellow Borgs.
Sure they could be tweaked for another month but I think they will do for the first games for the beginner. Got colour copies to hand out.
edit; there are four pages and I got inputmap1.mdl for each one of them
