Since not having a gameplay thread our game with SF made Ryj sad, here goes:

Squad Game RT vs SF on Planet - 2010/12/19:

neotoxin@SF (Yellow/IC/Sup+SY) vs Dengaroth@RT (Blue/Bios/Exp+SY)

Settings:

Gamesize: started as 12v11, got up to 13v13
Duration: 0:39
Map: Limited Diamond
Sett: 1.25 / 1.25 / SY On

Summary:

Using Cort's world-famous commanding by democracy, we pick our faction to be bios We go high, they go low. Their op dies thanks to our people's general awesomeness, while SF guys decide to kill a ref con instead of miners (one of them was full) We get an exp high next to home while they get a sup low next to theirs All of their miners die while none of ours are harassed much They get an SY while we finish cooking adv tech and expand all over the map We get an SY middle and op high next to their home We capture first their SY, then their Sup, then their home.

Result: » RT wins

Victory made possible by plenty of backseating and lack of miner pressure.

p.s. we totally should have pushed the exp low. It'd make for a much more intense game :D

mmmm stats :)

However I don't have any stats on friendly games :( Thinking about it for 2011 though, especially with the probable lack of a league.

It's not probable. The league was officially cancelled a few weeks back. Several squads voiced their opinion that they no longer wished to participate. Several alternatives were voiced, but a consensus was never reached. "Official" squad matches are now added to a ranking formula that will be used for placement in future events.

The Doubles Tournament and Squadron Tournament are still on the schedule for 2011. That hasn't changed as far as I know.
