(ASGS says • Allegiance exited with code: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION)
Allegiance.exe crashes right on start most of the time. I could find no pattern, sometimes it works properly right off the bat when I launch ASGS and press Login, sometimes it fails several consecutive times - screen goes black as if starting the game, loads a bit and then returns to desktop and the ASGS, throwing the above error message. It sometimes fails to launch after several restarts of ASGS and even the entire system.
When it does start, the game runs without any noticeable problems. After a successful launch and exiting the game normally, it usually (but not always) will start up correctly a few (so far up to 4) more times then it's back to throwing the error.
I have set both Allegiance.exe and ASGS to Windows server 2003 compatibility mode, running ASGS as admin, tried disabling the antivirus, no luck.
What I have noticed and may or may not be related, is that every time I press Login in ASGS and Allegiance.exe begins to launch, a new Allegiance.exe Process will start whether the game actually starts up or not. These Processes will keep running and adding up each time I press Login, even if it started up properly and then the game is closed, so long as ASGS is running. Closing ASGS ends all these Processes.
My internet connection is also a bit dodgy, router and cable modem are both suspect, but I don't think that could cause such an error - the problem occurs even when the connection is working okay
