Join us WEDNESDAY 28 July 2010 to test the R6 client!
It's that time again! On Wednesday, July 28th 2010 we will be holding another regularly scheduled R6 test.
We need people to sign into the beta server and make sure that they can play. That means every one of you sitting in the main game.
For those of you that weren't able to sign in on previous weeks, the Development team needs details. We need your feedback.
Send me a PM with any errors you receive while attempting to beta on wednesday.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR BETA WEDNESDAY:
If you do not already have it installed, you will need to install the Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. You should also make sure you have the latest DirectX 9 Start with an up to date Allegiance install (make sure you can play on the regular servers).
In ASGS select "Allegiance -> Beta Mode".
Still in ASGS, select "Help -> Update / Repair Critical Files".
Click "Login". The updater will run again, downloading the beta client.
After the updater has finished, click "Login" again.
Enjoy the beta! Find or create a new game and test away!
When you are done, there are a couple steps to get back on the regular servers.
Turn off beta mode "Allegiance -> Beta Mode".
Revert to the regular client "Help -> Update / Repair Critical Files"
Play as normal!
Don't forget to submit your bugs! and feel free to check out the list of recently closed tickets on trac.
