Working on a set of radar icons that will allow you to differentiate between categories of targets even if there are many stacked on top of each other.

I have found the relevant arts (thanks spawn) but when I replace them with my own .mdls they do not seem to change in game.

For example:

I replace dn_hibmbbmp.mdl (reg bomber model for dn) with my altered one.
I start a game with (I tried latest cc and the old dn core)

Normal bomber icon.


Do I have the wrong arts?

Another thought I had was cortui might have something to do with it. I know that when I try to load some of the other .mdl mods that it doesn't always work when cortui is installed.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks for the read.

Have you made sure your texture pack has been rebuilt with the changes (if you are using the texture pack option)?

Either go into your artwork directory and delete the commontextures.pack file (or whatever its called), or turn off the package textures option in the game and restart.

texture package option did the trick

Note:
R5 has a bug which causes radar icons to obscure each other instead of being semi-transparent.
This is apparently going to be fixed in R6. I haven't been able to get the beta running so I cannot confirm...
