Ok, I'm swamped.
Installing a working beta isn't supposed to be very difficult is it? I just can't get it to work currently.
Is there a clean artwork folder up for download somewhere I could use?

This is just something which should be done generally with the install. Any unused files ought to be pruned (have them still available up on SVN or something obviously, so that people can still get at them)
AFAIK there is no such utility; though a cleaned up install package should be considered for the release of CSS.

Hmm.
I know there is one around somewhere (but it's a little dated). The only one I have is for Linux in a .deb package. I think I made a .tar.gz archive as well so I can upload that.

That is relatively new (a few weeks). CC_09 won't be on it for example.
EDIT:
The 7-zip format saved 25MB, so it's worth the hassle of downloading 7-zip
