Well it seems I have the same problem as Paps, but even with no anti Viri or firewall and the PC in the DMZ I still cannot join a game.
I make it into the lobby but not into a game.
Tried to create a game, it said I failed to connect but it still made the game and listed it in lobby
does not matter what server I try
any ideas?

Saramin

BTW I just removed alleg complete and reinstalled using the new .exe in downloads

make a new topic??
its more fun to hijack Paps' thread

windows firewall off
windows defender off
PC set to DMZ in router
no anti Viri installed
nothing else installed on this PC that would stop it (unless Pico put the wammy on me)

Believe me it's no fun for us to help people when others clutter up the threads. It is also no fun for us to split threads when we are not the one requiring help.

Please fill out the template. Help us help you and such...
In the meantime, you don't need to put your PC in DMZ, actually, you're not supposed to.

Could you do a tracert to planet.dras.us and post the result here?

I had this, did a system restore, and all was sweeeet.

Then someone put out R5, and it broke again, but i believe that is irrelevant to you.

What firewall do you have? (Yes, I know you said it was off - we still need to know as it's likely relevant.)

Also, did you have an AV installed at any time? If so, what was it?

Sounds like software shenanigans to me. Do you have anything like AdAware installed? It can also block programs, depending on what you set it to do.

This may also be of some use. It should tell you if your ports are blocked. I found that Shields Up lies to me. This seems to do a little better.
