Well it seems I have the same problem as Paps, but even with no anti Viri or firewall and the PC in the DMZ I still cannot join a game.
I make it into the lobby but not into a game.
Tried to create a game, it said I failed to connect but it still made the game and listed it in lobby
does not matter what server I try
any ideas?
Saramin
BTW I just removed alleg complete and reinstalled using the new .exe in downloads
Failed to connect

Sounds like software shenanigans to me. Do you have anything like AdAware installed? It can also block programs, depending on what you set it to do.
This may also be of some use. It should tell you if your ports are blocked. I found that Shields Up lies to me. This seems to do a little better.
